If you enjoy a cocktail every now and then, leave your cash at home if you are going to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your evening bag, your money belt, and keep all money, credit cards and checkbooks out of the casino. Take only the cash you anticipate to spend on drinks, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to burn and leave the remainder behind.

Pessimistic? Not by any means. Realistic more like. You could experience a win following a boozy evening out with your compatriots and be lucky sufficiently to hook a long roll at a hot craps game. Don’t forget that account considering that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you regularly consume alcohol and bet. These activities just do not mix.

Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a tiny bit excessive, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is a requirement. If you gamble to win, then do not drink and bet. If you are able to afford to be wasteful with your cash nary a worry, then drink all the gratis alcohol your stomach are able to handle, but don’t carry plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your drunken head loses all the cash!

Permit me to carry this a single step further. Don’t drink and then head on to the internet to gamble in your preferred casino either. I love to beer from the coziness of my apartment, but considering that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can’t consume alcohol and wager.

What’s the reason? Although I don’t drink alcohol to excess, once I consume alcohol, it’s certainly sufficient to cloud my common sense. I wager, so I do not drink when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not wager when you do. Both make for a decimating, and expensive, cocktail.
